City Council Regular Meeting Minutes
Monday, November 1, 2021


The Auburn City Council met in regular session at 7:00 pm on Monday, November 1, 2021, in the council
chambers of Auburn City Hall.
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm
Presiding: Mayor Brown
Present: Council Members Bryan, Potter, Arpin, Davis, Stewart
City Attorney Luckman, Superintendent Clinkenbeard, City Clerk Temple
Pledge of Allegiance recited.


Previous Meeting Minutes
Approval of October 18, 2021, meeting minutes reviewed. Council Member Potter motioned to approve
meeting minutes. Council Member Davis seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.


Question of Bills
Detailed report of payment of invoices and checks included in meeting packet for all to review. Council
Member Potter motioned to approve accounts payable ledger of $82,898.36 including Payroll. Council
Member Stewart seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.


Citizens Forum
None.
14th Street Update
Report of project progress.
Police Department Salaries
Discussed options to encourage additional police coverage on weekends. Council Member Davis
motioned to approve a pay differential of $5 per hour to regular salary only during the days/hours of
Friday starting at 4pm through Sunday at Sam. Council Member Potter seconded the motion. Motion
approved Unanimous.


UTV Ordinance
Discussion Tabled.
Civic Center Cleaning Bids
Civic Center cleaning bids reviewed. Council Member Davis motioned to approve bid submitted by
Christine Manthe. Council Member Stewart seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.
Civic Center Contract
Civic Center rental agreement discussion to add clarified wording to Section Four: Termination.
Current wording states, "Either party may terminate this agreement at any time, by giving written notice
to the other, specifying the date of termination, such notice to be given not less than three (3) days prior
to the date specified in such notice for the date of termination."
Recommended wording of "Termination notice of this agreement of less than (3) days prior to the date
specified forfeits all deposit amounts." In addition to current wording. Council Member Stewart
motioned to approve additional wording to existing contract. Council Member Bryan seconded the
motion. Motion approved Unanimous.


Parks Update
Discussion of park updates.
Discussion to purchase metal picnic outdoor table and chairs for park seating. Purchase price is $800.
City Council Member Bryan motioned to approve purchase enable and chairs for $800. Council Member
Arpin seconded the motion. Motion approved Unanimous.

New Business
Discussion to approve $9,000 in unexpected expense on 14th Street. Council Member Potter motioned
to approve $9,000 expense. Council Member Stewart seconded the motion. Motion approved
Unanimous.

approved Unanimous. Meeting adjourned.
